Split Rock Lighthouse Beacon Lighting - DiveCaptDean - 11-08-2007 Hello All- This weekend marks the 32nd anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Nov 10,1975.  In rememberance of this this event, the Minnesota Historical Society is having a lighting ceremony on  Saturday 10th from 12:00 noon to 6:00pm.  Superior Scuba Center will have a gathering as well. We will be diving the Madiera on Saturday the 10th during the lighting ceremony. We plan on meeting on location at 12:00 noon.  Our group will be tailgating and we hope that you will stop by and say hi.  I cannot think of a better reason to get out and dive the Madiera. We hope to see you there.   Keep in mind, parking passes will be needed.
