The ice was out all over Iowa and Omaha Nebraska. Whats the deal here???  My wife said the ice was totally off our little pond here but it's back on now. >

My son is starting a science project and I have been volunteered to take the water samples at 10 feet under water in several locations! Boy it's hard work helping my son with his schoolwork!

If you're looking for sympathy, you'll find it in the dictionary between Sh!t & syphillis! >  just kidding of course! how many samples does he need and what's the timeframe? I bet there are others that might volunteer to expand his sample area to other portions of the state... 10' down - along the bottom slope or out in mid-water?
Some people are like Slinkeys - not much good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!

It better warm up there soon. I just spent four hours today playing chicken with an 8 foot 'gator at Daytona Beach and it's getting closer to mating season when they get mean.

For my son's science fair project I completed two dives tonight. One on Eagle lake in Maple Grove...Long surface swim to find anything deeper than 4 ft. Vis was moderate, plants and sticks, no fish to be seen.
The second on Medicine Lake from West Medicine Lake Park. Also shallow and mucky, but I did see a boat hull or old dock near where the stream runs in south of the fishing pier! Vis was poor but it was also nearing sunset.
