river feeder creeks/pools
missisisippy river has a number of feeder creeks and rivers that feed directly into the river. the first several hundered yards of these are very very interesting as far as fish go. with the right conditions tons of river fish will cram in and pile up. what im looking for is a pool or streach of feeder creek that is clear enough to view. perhaps something that is a trout stream. anyone know of such a spot. if it was good enough i would drive clear accross the state to visit.
twin cities dude

Re: river feeder creeks/pools
thanks to those who gave me some suggestions. i atleast was able to find acouple of feeder creeks that have holding pools that stage fish swimming up from the mississippi river. not as clear as i hoped but the search continues. dont have any pics yet to post. but hopefully before year end i will.

Re: river feeder creeks/pools
for those interested this weekend i was in the neighboorhod of the mississipi up north. got my boat stuck in the channel, just off the launch..and walked from there. interestingly the main river channel had perhaps 1-2ft vis with fast fast current. the sides were shallow and slow..and super clear. vis was aproaching 4ft on the sides and in spots ice cold. i suspect that the right pool on the side if its out of the current could be super clear.. im still on the search for the ultimate river spot. i think im close. will go back with either jet skis or my jon. my camera died this weekend. but hoping to get some pics before year end. also ive tried to put some pics on this site but it doesnt work for me.. must be doing something wrong.
