farmer john wetsuit
hey i just started diving and i have a question about a wetsuit i just got. i got a 6.5mm farmer john and i am looking for input on whether to get a hooded vest for it to keep the water from going down my neck or getting just a hood. what would you say about that and also would u think the hooded vest would be too bouyant.
thnx |

Re: farmer john wetsuit
check out thread
I use a hood but not a vest as 3 layers on th echect would be too bulky

Re: farmer john wetsuit
I would skip the hooded vest and just get a hood. Make sure the hood has a skirt, unskirted hoods are usually for drysuits, tuck the skirt into and underneath the main suit and your problem with cold water trickling down your neck should be solved.

Re: farmer john wetsuit
I'm with the others. Hood works great for cool water. A beanie (hood with neck strap and no skirt) works well for warmer weather; ladies like 'em for keeping hair out of gear.
I don't have that problem...
Non-divers seem so, well, shallow.
