Local dive conditions
DanL and I did a dive at Louise yesterday. Viz was way down...probably only 10 feet below the thermocline down to about 60 feet and slightly better above the thermocline. Hopefully it will improve in the coming weeks. Just thought I'd pass it on in case anyone hasn't been there in awhile. Anyone got the latest conditions on Wazee or the local lakes (Perch, Square etc.)?

JasonB, Groovekitty and I dove Perch yesterday - vis going in from the road was 5-10ft, slightly better from State Park side.

Re:Local dive conditions
Square actually seems to be getting a little better. Five feet on a bad day to 15 feet on a good day. Or is that inches??? I might be a little high on my estimates.

Re:Local dive conditions
Vis at square appears to be highly variable... By the paltforms it seems to be in the 5" - 5' range depending on the number of classes being held. Out by fish island the vis has been 10'-20' depending on the level of detail you want in your vis.

Re:Local dive conditions
I dived Wazee with Dano on Saturday. The vis was 10-20 above 30 ft. We encountered a silt layer between 30-70 feet. It was like entering a blizzard. The visibility cleared up below 70 feet.
