I posted this on another thread, so sorry for the duplication. It seems more appropiate here.

After signing up, the information I received was to meet at Maynards docks at 7am, bring two tanks, some type of bag and flag. They would check into supplying additional bags. Between 7 and 8am would be for check-in/sign-up and getting gear ready.

This was a nice event today. I enjoyed it. There was a good turn out. Our boat didn't find a whole lot of trash but Jason found a really cool boat anchor. We didn't have a lift bag so Jason tied the dive float line to the anchor and the guys on the boat lifted it up. All in all a nice event and great weather to boot.

I'd like to thank Mike for helping to organize another successful event. I hope the event gets bigger every year.

I'd like to thank my dive buddy Lonnie for putting up with me as I silted out the area trying to recover the (now world-reknown) anchor.

I'd like to thank my dive instructors for teaching me everything I know today.

Thanks to all the divers who came to the event! I am already planing next years Lake Minnetonka Clean-up. The early plans are to have the event on Saturday, June 19th 2004. We are going to have a "team" catagory next year. We will have some sort of large traveling trophy to give to the team that brings in the most trash. We ended up with about 50 divers at this years event and are shooting for 150 next year.

Jason: Thank you for the gift of the walleye anchor that you found. I plan on cleaning it up, giving it a coat of paint and displaying next to my fire place. I will post a photo when I clean it up.

I was wondering if anyone knows when the Minnetonka cleanup deal is going to be on TV and what the name of the show is that it will air on?

Think the show is "Environmental Journal", sponsored by the MN Lottery. Think it's on cable in Bloomington at noon and 6PM on Sat and Sundays, but don't know times or stations in other cities.
