Superior Scuba Center
I found a new SCUBA shop by accident.
Location:
1902 w Superiot St.
Duluth MN
2187229500

The dive shop is right downtown and has just opened. they are still getting inventory in, but had enough gear to get me started. I just bought regs/console/bc package and they where very nice to work with. Their main brands are Zeagle and Oceanic. They offer superior dive charters and are a PADI outfit.

Thanks for the info. It looks like we need to add this shop to the dive shop list.

Re:Superior Scuba Center
Excellent new shop and great guys also.. Discovered them by accident while cruising around town a few weeks ago.. Just bought an Atomic T1X, Atomic SS1, Atomic SplitFins, Zeagle Ebon mask and a Zeagle SPG from them..

First air fill is free, and they also have very good rental rates.
They had Zeagle, Oceanic, Parkway, Mobby's Drysuits, Atomic Aquatics in stock when I was there.. Think they are working on getting Halcyon also... (Stop in and try on a Zeagle Ranger LTD BC, excellent!! hehe)

They seem to be the only shop in the Duluth area that is going to address the Tech-type divers.. Getting into Tech gear and have a Nitrox fill station going in soon.

Very satisfied customer... Too bad I'm moving to FL in a week.
Brent

Almost forgot - they do free "fun dives" on Wednesday nights, usually up the north shore.

Re:Superior Scuba Center
I was in the Duluth area in December, "killing time" while waiting for Richard to show up so we could do a dive on the Mederia. I knew the store carried Halcyon gear, so I decided to give them a call. Unfortunately, they neglected to put on their answering machine that they were closed for the weekend. But anyway, Jay did call me back on my cell and apologized and offered me a free T-Shirt next time I was in the area.

Lo and behold I was in the area on a job interview in January, so I stopped in to "collect" my free T-Shirt. Jay is a very nice person to talk to, carried a lot of the gear that I already dive with, which simply means that he has very, very good taste in gear.

His future plans seem to be leaning toward the technical end of diving, along with supporting the local divers, simply because, like he says, "When you have Superior in your backyard"? He should have Nitrox up and running by this spring, and nobody else in Duluth seems to be interested.

Jay has some good ideas and big plans. I wish him luck, seems like he is on the right track. A place I will definately visit everytime I am in the area.

Good Luck Jay!!!
