Diving Meetup?

Hello,
I just relocated back to MN from Seattle where I really got into diving out there. Sad to say the Octos and harbor seals are gone, but i hear MN has a few nice dives to offer as well. I've been wanting to get out, but i don't have a dive buddy or know the locations well enough. I've checked out a few dive shops for their fun dives and have a few I'm looking at doing.
However, when I was out there in Seattle what really helped me get into scuba and get a lot of dives in was the 'meetup' scuba groups they had. Divers who were heading out to there local favorite spot could post that location and it would allow others to see the date/time/location and sign up. It allowed others not familiar with dive sites an opportunity to dive that location and meet some great people. I've been looking on this site hoping to see that information as well, but really haven't. Anyone interested in forming one? I would, but i won't know a location to start.

Welcome to MN and mnscuba!  You can post where you are diving on this forum and sometimes that's a good way to meet up with people.  You can also join our Facebook group.  Click on the "divesites" link at the top of the page and you will find a list of all the major dive sites in our region.
