...couldn't make it out until this afternoon.....the bright sunny morning gave way to mostly cloudy...that hit the vis...it was 5 - 7 feet... Sad

I dove that lake a bunch of times back in the summer of 98'. I received my Advanced Open Water from 3 Little Devils back then. The lake is not very deep, a nice soft sandy bottom if I recall. Tons of people and divers out there. Since the majority of the diving is done along the shoreline where the fish "hang-out," the bottom is usually stirred-up pretty good, but seemed to clear-up fairly quickly. Since the lake is so shallow, there is probably only 1 thermocline, if any.
