As has been said before I think the presence of so many anchors on the bottom of so many MN lakes points to 2 things. #1 - Most people can't tie a knot for !@*!.  #2 - When the owner of the boat tells his buddy to throw the anchor in, a lot of them probably regret having not said to tie the anchor line to the boat first. :

It helps when you have a lake with lots of fishing pressure on a few points and low dive pressure. JACKPOT!

I think that if people stopped using ploy propylene rope that would help also. that type of rope is very hard to tie knots in and have them stay.

That's why it is so handy to learn how to eye splice a line. ;D
I wouldn't throw one of my anchors in with just a knot in the line.

I guess we had 18 anchors. There were three in my truck instead of two. ;D.  . So then this dive was the "mother of all anchor dives." Beating the one on Green Lake, a couple of years ago when arcflash, and I dove it. I think that one had 10. This one will be hard to beat.

Good job on the drill. It seemed like there was some "pucker" factor even though we knew it was a drill.

I am close to having another boat that we can do spearfishing trips on similar to the Holy Spear-It. Stay tuned for the Damn Yankee Spearfishing Tour II. this will be spearfishing in the middle grounds. A a live aboard type boat. It is not as big as the Holy Spirit, so we will only be able to accommodate three divers per trip. I will post pricing and dates when they become available.
