Re: Ice diving on Sat 1-9-10
To remove all doubt, we were were the "A Holes" because we were diving out of Tom's Ice Schack and the "B Holes" were pissed.

Tom has a nice Ice Schack on wheels that he built and has a floorless "ice tent" that he would setup right next to Ice Schack, a person could walk back and forth between the two. When the diver climbed out of the hole, he could walk right into the Ice Schack, remove the gear and let the heater keep the gear ice-free.

Were we "A Holes"? Yaaaa, you betcha.

Re: Ice diving on Sat 1-9-10

The "A hole" comment came from a great joke I heard today for the first time. Here is how I remember it: Trinity, Arcflash, Scubajunkie, and I were swimming primarily out of the Western hole and McDiver, Doug67, and his friend Tom (with the coolest dive rig I have ever seen) were diving out of a hole about 300' east of us. McDiver came over to visit and Arcflash (in his best poker face) told him that since we were farther West we will call this site the "B hole" and since you are to the East you... after a second or two of silence everyone was chuckling. I am jealous of his rig though for sure. A four wheeler with tracks, with GPS mounted to the handle bar, and an auger mounted to the front. Then pulling that hod rod yellow fish house across the snow like nothing. I was inspired. It was really nice to put faces to the names and I look forward diving with each and everyone of you again soon.

Yesterday was a good time, and I'm sure glad everyone now knows I'm not an A-hole, like so many other divers, ( glad Doug knows where he stands too!) I'm just going to have to remember to not mess with Peg as much after she twisted Steve's spud into a pretzel, she just never looked that tough to me!    TRINITY

Vis was the 2nd best I've every had. I should have measured it with my dive reel but 30 is not an exaggeration. There as almost no floating particles. It was clear for a long way.

Everyone wants a pic and I'm a people person so ... enjoy. Smile

It was nice putting a face to alot of the names. Most of the faces were not ones to remember but I think I would dive with any of them. Claystained diver I moseyd over to see meet them as they were only a mile from my plAce. The setups ere very professional. I do have some pics and will post them when I get to the Internet somewhere with my laptop. Trinity, thanks for the beersicle. Smile
good conversations also.
