Re: Splash Parties (Open Pool)
I was shocked at how much more weight I took when in Cancun this weekend.. In a 7mm, I take 32 lbs in freshwater.  in a 3mm, I took 36lbs in salt..

In Coz that skinny no weight with 2 wetsuits on divemaster guy called me "little anchor man".  He wouldn't give me the weight I wanted.  I take roughly the same in a 8/6/5 in fresh as I do with a 3 in salt - 22-24 pounds or so.  I couldn't sink and had to swim down to get weight from him so I could stay down.

You should take about 3% of your total displacement extra.  For a big guy, that's a lot of water.

At the shop at 7:30pm.  We'll set you up with whatever gear and then head to the pool.  We can use 80s if you need to priactice with those, just let us know.

Re: Splash Parties (Open Pool)

Several years ago my computer registered 73 degrees in the freshwater tank and 77 in the saltwater tank. It was an aluminum 50 cf tank they provided back then.

Re: Splash Parties (Open Pool)
we'll cut you some slack since you've been on vacation and your brain probably hasn't recovered from all the bikini jiggling... segundo resurrected an old thread to ask about splash parties for this year - hence the 2009 reference!   Wink

(edit to clarify:  I mean the bikinis you were watching!  we don't even want to know if you were wearing one!)
Some people are like Slinkeys - not much good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!

Maybe memory loss, I did have a few beers the night before, but for sure not shock, I just thought I'd died, and gone to divers heaven, hitting a pair of wrecks most every day early in the morning (well, early for me anyway) then checking out how delightfully tan and in such good shape so many gals in So. Fla are, and how can those bikinis not jiggle, when theres not enough fabric to cover a deck of cards with as the gals jog down the beach. I was tempted to ask them if they were stitched with Kevlar thread or what :-\ that so much woman could be propery covered with so little material, I mean I was left in awe,,,,,all I could do was sit and stare, and order another beer :-\    TRINITY

If those bikini's weren't getting wet, "so much woman" was probably held in place with strategically placed clothing tape.
