Portsmouth and Lake Louise Report Saturday and Sunday June 27,28
First time diving in "the mines". Saturday afternoon we rolled in to Portsmouth campground and headed to Portsmouth. They have a nice parking lot and boat launch. Other people with us were in an advanced class. Did 2 dives and 1 at night. Lots of trees and cliff like structures. Lots of fish. Really neat. Vis was 15' or so. More to see in shallow areas. Night dive was cool except for the bugs!
Sunday went to Louise, Spotted Sparky, 2 boats, snowmobile and a Skeleton on a bike pulling a cart with another skelaton kids. Was quite interesting! Vis was not to bad. Hope to head up that way again real soon. Met one guy from Smith Divers Be sure to read lost and found! |

Re: Portsmouth and Lake Louise Report Saturday and Sunday June 27,28
Did a dive last night on the spot that MSD calls CT Two Bit. The dive was great until we got out of the water... Some anal redneck local fishermen came over bitching about us snagging their lines. Only problem, our group was not even near them.
Hear camping is not allowed up there now but we did see a travel trailer parked up there. In the sun above 25 feet, the vis is 15 feet or greater. But after yesterdays Red Neck Mofo, I would not dive that spot unless there was someone watching the cars and trucks while I was diving.
Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses drone on about about mission statements.
