Divers searching Brainerd Pit for missing person

I don't know how many people have been following the story of the four missing young Minnesotans. Divers are currently searching one of the mine pits up by Brainerd -- Virginia Mine Pit Lake (177 feet deep). I haven't heard of this pit before. Is this part of the Cuyuna range?

Very sad story. Good that the family will at least have closure. It must have been very hard to deal with the "missing" status.
The Virginia pit is in the Crosby-Ironton area. It's on the nortwest edge of the cluster, just to the west of the Mahnomen lakes group.

That is just awful !!!
Hopefully , the search and recovery teams will be successful. I agree with Dan...At least then the family will have some closure!!
