2008 Crosby Conditions
Dove Louise today, Vis was poor. Maybe 10 or 12 tops. Only went to 35 feet. The big boat at 28, I couldn't see the bow from the stern. Couldn't see the other side (legs) of the platform at 30.

Re: 2008 Crosby Conditions
Hey Grumpie, was nice to meet you also. It was definately interesting to sit and visit with you during the teams diving, unfortunately, the weather was not the greatest.

I went to Louise for a dive afterward, the "on again off again" rain got old pretty quick, so after the dive, I decided to head it back to St. Cloud. My intentions were to camp over night.

Since I have that darn Series 7 exam to study for, the diving will have to take a back-seat until after the exam on June 23rd.

Current Crosby Conditions?
Looking for vis reports. I'll be diving up there tomorrow and would like to go right to the best pits.

Re: 2008 Crosby Conditions
Crosby report for Saturday, July 19.

Dove Louise with a group from Rochester.  Many other shops holding check out dives! (Hi Nick from "A Diver's World")  Vis was about 30 feet before the rain washed the parking lot into the lake.  Visible "Silt Plume" in the entry area from divers and wash.
Surface water at 70 degrees felt warm compared to 63 degree air temp.  At 12 feet first thermo of 55 degrees, second thermo 41 degrees at the sailboat at 65 feet!  Brrr, not a good time for a drysuit leak!  Sad
Between the rain and the mosquitoes, it almost wasn't fun.  Then the sun came out again just as I had to leave!  Smile

Re: 2008 Crosby Conditions
Mangan was very nice until some locals crowded us out of our spot. I mean with all the space they could have went to the next site but they and their 4 kids and 2 cases of Bud Light wanted our postage stamp of happiness.
