Wazee conditions

Hello All,
   
        Anyone hear anything about ice at Wazee(or not)? Might be heading over there with a group from St. Croix Scuba in Hudson. Sounds like it might be on the cold side, if that's the case I might just stay warm an toasty at home.

Summary at the south boat launch:
3-5" ice with a small open-water patch off the west edge of the little bay
ice was cracked & bubbled and not fun to walk on
water 36F

I don't have any more recent info since Dec 16th.

Our gang from Rochester is planning on a New Year's Day dive, 9am somewhere at Wazee.  But according to the forecast this one will be cold.

I was just going to post a link to the site when a message popped up saying I might want to read this new message being posted before I post. Glad I checked.
Thanks for the information. We are planning on being there about noon, give some of the revelers a chance to make the trip. But if its as cold as there talking, I might wimp out.
