New wetsuit, howcome its not here? :(

Hey guys, I just ordered a new imersion, seriole 5mm monday evening from scubastore.com.  Howcome its not here by now?  I though they said that it'd be here in 4 days?  Is it more likely that it'll come monday?

Ya I know.  But we do not carry that product.  The only thing we carry, freediving wise, is Sporasub, and a few Picasso fins from Trident.  I already bought my fins from Sporasub, its just that the only open-cell inside suit they have is their 3mm viper and that's not warm enough for ice.  So I bought the imersion 5mm.  I plan on getting that 3mm in the spring though. 


Sporasub has some nice gear, altough their American dealer rarely gets some of the best of it.  As of now I beleive they have the Viper, Tsunami, and the Instinct wetsuits, Variant comp and polytech fins.  They most likely are stocked up on most of the Sporasub masks and snorkles, but I haven't asked yet.

They've always been lightening fast fast for me.

I know what you mean about it being odd to work at a divestore and having to order gear online. I've been working at dive shops for over 20 years but bought almost all of my freediving stuff online. It helps that all of the good stuff is made in Europe. A few years ago, when the dolllar was stronger than the euro, I could buy stuff from diveinn.com for less  than our cost through the dive shop! Since the dollar started it's downward spiral  this is no longer the case.

Still, if there were a local shop that acutally stocked the stuff it would be more than worth it to go and pay full price just to be able to try it on and make sure it fits before you buy it.

There are other things, like a custom wetsuit or custom monofin, that have to be oredred out no matter what and it wouldn't help to go through a store anyhow.

Hey guys, I just dove louise and mangan today.  I SCUBA'd Louise and went freediving in Mangan, I hit 50 +' over there with my new fins.  Unfortunately I did not get the new wetsuit so that was a bummer.


Has anyone else been doin' any divin?

hey Josh.. I think you know.. but you should always do the freediving first and then the scuba.  It's not good to re-compress the little bubbles that you've loaded up on the scuba dive.. ... 'course, you had your buddy there for ya right?

glad to hear the new fins are working out for you..

.. no diving here since 2 weeks ago.. way to busy with the fall harvests and other work plus a bad, bad cold anyway  .. finally coming around just in time for the antelope hunt.

Ya I know, I waited almost two hours between dives, and I had 3 divers in the water when I did it too.  So I was relatively safe.  I just harvested a little buck w/ my compound on wedesday and grilled up some backstraps 2 days after.  Talk about good meat!


Sorry to here about the cold.  Thats been spreading around here like crazy.
