Wazee
Dove Wazee yesterday. Every year a group of divers from St. Croix Scuba does a New Years dive. Most years it is open water diving. This year you could of had both.
The lake is about 80% iced over. From the blacktop road on the west around to the north shore had open water. But not down to Sherwood forest. Entering at the bottom of the blacktop road we did have to break through ice. The area did open up some as more divers took the plundge.
So if anyone wants to dive Wazee you still have a chance.

Re: Wazee
Vis was very good. I'm guessing 30-40ft maybe more. We dropped down to around 110ft staying there till turning the dive. Then returned at around 40ft.

Re: Wazee
Our group from Rochester did a few dives on Saturday at the south boat launch.  It's so nice to get suited up without overheating!  It was the perfect temperature for being outside that day.

We chiseled out enough ice around the dock to jump in and sit on the ice to break it up.

It didn't take long to create a "parking lot" for the new toys.

It worked out great for gearing up -- we had a convenient "pool deck".

Beautiful scenery on the ice ceiling.

Scooter mania!
