north superior trip
I dove this weekend with a group of people on the north shore, this was my first lake superior dive and also my first dive with my dry suite. we did 2 dive saturday first just to get used to the cold and equiptment, only got to 52 deg, very warm for superior. looked at the achent lava flows near silver bay, second on the Hesper. it is amazing how well preserved the wood is after 100 years.
Sunday dives were at split rock on the maderia this one we reached a balmy 42 deg at 109 ft, very cool massive ship. Had a great time Doug

Re: north superior trip
Glad you got to come up to my corner of the state! There is a lot of good diving around Duluth - boat dives and shore dives. Planning to do the Niagara at Knife River tomorrow. The Madeira is a great dive, isn't it?
