Wanna try something different? I dove Lower Pine Lake in Polk County Wisconsin a month or so back. Very clear lake. Back then we had 20+ feet of viz. The lake's max depth is 102 feet. It's about an hours drive from the twin cities.
Here's a link.

One more option. How about Crosby? There's a few people going up there tomorrow leaving the twin cities at 7:30am. Planning on doing three dives. Dan/Jean are you interested in that? If so, I'd probably need to see if I could bum a lift from MSD in Brainerd out to the pits because I'm not too keen on taking my car out on those roads. Let me know. Smile

I thought about Crosby, but I was concerned that all the hoses and stuff hanging off my tank might look too much like antlers. Wink

It might be fun to explore a new lake, so lower pine sounds good. But then, again, so does Wazee and Superior!

Dan, I never thought of the deer hunting thing. Hmm... :-\ I just checked the lake shore forecast for Superior and it's looking pretty rough for tomorrow...3 to 5 footers. :o I'm thinkin' that's a bit choppier than I'd like to deal with for diving from shore. Wazee or Lower Pine is cool with me. If you want to try Lower Pine I'll need to get directions from Matt at Air Down There tonight. I don't remember exactly how to get out there since I wasn't paying much attention when I followed him out there the first time I dove there. Let me know which lake you prefer to dive, it doesn't matter to me.

Lower Pine works for me. What time and I need directions.

Re:Sat Nov 6th
OK, how about we meet at Air Down There Scuba in the parking lot at 9am. It's pretty much on the way to the lake so it shouldn't take anyone out of their way. I know we take I-35 N up to around Forest Lake and then head east into Wisconsin. It's probably a bit under an hours drive. I'm going in for fills tonight and I'll get directions. That way we can convoy out there tomorrow and nobody will get lost. Wink
