Going Under Dive Center will be sponsoring an underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest on Saturday, October 23rd at Square Lake (Golden Acres Site).

We will meet for fun dives in the morning and competition will begin at 12:00 noon. Each participant will need their own hollow pumpkin (take the guts out at home) and carving equipment. Prizes will be awarded for a number of categories.

GUDC will be providing charcoal for grilling and Hot Apple Cider.

Wow GUDC finaly planed an event on my weekend off ;D
I'll plan on being there if Hockey doesent interfere

Hey Chuck, count me in! I'd love to make an artistic-underwater-carvature! What are some of the categories? How about rules? Can I carve a watermellon instead? ;D

I thought that we would stick to the basic categories.
1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place. Wink

I can probably round up prizes for additional categories like, Most Unique Carving (non-gourd) which would allow for watermellon or any other fruit or vegetable sacrifice you wanted to chop up. ;D

Just a reminder the pumpkin carving contest is less than 2 weeks away. If you have not registered yet, you should do it soon! Wink

Top prizes include a Mosquito dive computer and Aqualung regulator! :o

I'd like to thank GUDC for hosting a fun underwater pumpkin carving contest and halloween party. It was a blast!

Chuck, you did a great job! Now what to do with a water logged pumpkin... ;D

the contest was a blast and so was the party. the saw worked so well I may carry it insted of a dive knife ;D
