Re:FREEDIVE-APLOOZA
Jon, I own a video streaming server if you need a fast free place to hang the video. Send me PM if interested.

I think Ted uses a password at that site (although I didn't have to use it to get the download).. I believe it's "deeperblue" .. you might give that a try. The videos are great and very much worth the download.

Re:FREEDIVE-APLOOZA
Now try it, I re-did the link.

Jason, thanks for the offer. Big Grin

We might take you up on it, but right now Ted and I are just thinking about biting the bullet and putting together out own website. That way we could host our own stuff and not have to wait for somebody elses I.T. guy to do it for us- which is the problem that we've been having lately.

Re:FREEDIVE-APLOOZA
How was it Gene??

I tried to dive up there a few years ago, but a severe thunderstorm ripped through the campground and trashed my tent. After spending the rest of the night sleeping in my car I was in no shape to dive the next day. :'(

Still, I've heard good things about the lake and wanted to try and get back up there. I'd be interested to hear how it was.

Re:FREEDIVE-APLOOZA
Hi Jon,
Re Lake Owen, The water was about 70 deg. (surface) It's a spring -fed lake so good vis. about 12 ft. I didn't go very deep, only about 20 ft. Lots of fish in some places. The lake is about 9 miles long with lots of bays There are 2 public accesse. One at the Nat. Forest Campground costs $3 and the other is free. I was up there the last 2 Sundays only kayaking this last Sunday. Lots of boat traffic kept me from getting comfortable in the water. I would like to do some real freediving there but would want a boat or a pontoon to establish a safe area. I don't think most boaters understand a dive flag and stay away. Lots of wealthy property owners on the lake and some resorts. Most of the shoreline hides the homes. Sure would like to get together with friends again to freedive. This cool weather bums me out.
See Ya,
Gene
