Hey, we had a great time at the apalooza! great weather, great camping, good folks. Finally met Jon, he's a good fellow, very knowledgeable, good buddy, and pushed his pb along with me and 2 others who were there, Jared and Jitka. Also met Ted (unirdna @ wiscuba) and his fiance Lisa, Ted maybe can hold a candle to Lisa in the breath hold/freedive department but that's about it Wink

(I think he hyperventilates too much, that's why the looooong bottom times and the near blackouts eh? :o ). Gene (allwetone) was there and got to try out some good gear for a change. I'll let Jon post more of the details.
First time I ever dove in Wazee.. .very nice. Excellent for freediving.. wish it wasn't 400+ miles from here.
Jon, thanks again for all the planning and work you did. NEXT YEAR!!
I took some 3D photos that I'll post sometime after I get them developed.

Don't forget the Saturday night drive-in created by my buddy, Gert. Of course we had to watch "The Big Blue". Wink

It was great meeting Fred and his brother- both of whom are a couple of real stand up guys. It makes it so much easier, and more fun, to have good back up divers around you when pushing your limits a little bit.

I'll post more photos and details later on.

The following morning it was really foggy when I woke up. It took a couple of hours for it to burn off the lake.

We also set up a little shooting range underwater to sight in those spearguns. 8)

It was complete with measuring tape on the bottom of each shooting lane so that you could judge the effective range of each gun. Everything was roped of and well marked with surface bouys.

I know that I learned more about my guns in 30 minutes of target practice than a month's worth of spearfishing.
