Re:Deco Software
I also have GUE's d-plan and I love it for its easy to use, no-nonsense interface. One thing you have to keep in mind with D-plan is that it uses a modified Buhlmann algorhythm (modified in that it tries to behave more like a VPM model). You will have to play with the GF's to tweak the profile to your liking, and you'll also have to add some deeper stops as well to make the curve more efficient. For example, depending on GF settings D-plan will give you your first deep stop at about 60% of max depth; this means you'll have to include some stops at 80% of max depth for your first deep stops. Also, shaving of some time off of the shallower stops (when adding the deeper stops) will help with the correct profile.
The nice thing about the software is that GUE's standard mixes are already preprogrammed, and so it recommends the mixes to use for the particular depth/time you input. Another nice feature is that it tells you at what depth (again, according to the Buhlmann model) you effectively will start offgassing - something to keep in mind during the ascent to keep that ascent rate in check. Customer support as always is impeccable. |
