catching it alive isn't the problem, keeping it alive would be more of a problem.. you'd need a collection permit from dnr. shouldn't be a problem. as long as you get the permit first before you go around trying to take a specimen. kids might be able to do it without. since you guys got  me going on the topic ill dig up some pics and share. might take a day. ..while i do admire and respect fish life, that speared carp thru the ice looks invigorating. might have to bust out a gun or two on next hole. (it isn't wanten waste if you dont waste it)
