more awsome freediving spots with fish.
well after some trial and error, ive found tons more good spots that i would like to share with the community.
at the head waters of the st.croix(wisconsin) there are two dams both of which have a fair number of various river fish.just outside the city of trego, and the city of gordon. both rivers are shallow with washout hole. walleyes are about 12-18inch size. nice mix of suckers and other stuff. one of my boys that was leading us slightly saw several muskies at trego but all were small(20lb or less probably), did see a stergeon up close, and some of the suckers had lampreys. water is stained and about 6ft vis.. duluth is about an hour north so we went there also. lester river park had supierior lake water at 64deg perfect for freediving with vis 40ft probably, we saw one large fish that we couldnt ID before it was gone. and a couple other guys were also freediving at this road side stop(in duluth). montisipi park in elk river(missisippi river) has public access. alot of people shore fish here as a small hole is closse to shore. i went in and found it full of small walleyes and crappies, in fact once you knew were to look, you could see them from shore!!!!. my boys shot a fair sizedĀ 10lb carp, after several dozen missed shots, and i shot a monster carp that probably pushed 25lbs+ , I got it under my arm and then it shook off on the wrestling way back to shore.oh well got the stink back though
"Dont make me choose.....you wont win.." wise words to the wife.<br />"is it more important to protect the innocent, or Punish the guilty,That is, after all, why we punish the guilty"
