Aqua Lung Makes $7,000 donation to American Cancer Society

On July 14, 2009, Aqua Lung presented a $7,000 cash donation to the American Cancer Society (ACS) in support of breast cancer research. The donation was made possible as a result of the successful launches of our new women's Pearl and Pearl i3 BCs.

“The response from our customers to support the American Cancer Society exceeded our expectations and donation goals,” said Olivier Laguette, director of marketing for Aqua Lung. “We are proud to assist such a worthy cause and would like to thank everyone who helped Aqua Lung contribute to the fight against breast cancer.”

ACS is the nation's largest source of private, nonprofit cancer research funds and has been the most trusted resource for cancer information for nearly a century. Breast cancer, a cause that has affected our employees and their families and friends, is the most common cancer among women, other than skin cancer, and the second leading cause of cancer death in women. However, partly as a result of early detection and improved treatment options from breast cancer research, the death rates from the disease are decreasing.
