An open water diver is like an empty tool box because....
He or she is a hollow shell that (at first glance) looks like he or she is ready to go to work. But really he or she lacks the tools (skills) to perform most tasks. The open water certification is like a learners permit to a new driver. Yes, you know the basics but that is it. The additional training (both formal and through experience) is the tools that will fill that "empty tool box". Next question? |
