Josh,
I've owned both Cressi's and Picasso suits in the past and it's really a toss up. They are both great suits that will keep you far warmer than any scuba wetsuit. If there was a big price difference I'd go with whatever's cheapest. If a little price difference you might want to go with the slick coating one- just because it's your first suit. After owning a bunch of these types of suits I would go straight opencell since it's warmer- but harder to put on. Jon
