The class price seems reasonable.

If one dives with a dry suit, the local diving season is greatly extended.  I did my first local dive in April, when the ice went out, and will probably do my last local dive in November, before the ice goes in.  Some people dive in Lake Superior year around, and other dive under the ice.  Plus of course, many of us go to other places to dive during the winter.

I'll probably get in over 200 dives this year, though I had a bit of a jump start, did about 75 cave dives in Florida in January.
