Who or what or how did you get into diving??

I remember when i was 12 or 13 my friend lived on a lake on the iron range..by this time. we had been diving in quarries for a couple of years..but his dad was an X seal and was a diver..we were sitting on his flating platform at the lake and his dad brough out the boat and some cool looking equipment he put it on and went under the water.  A short itme later he surfaces with tools and other cool things. As it turns out, his lake was previously an ice mine lake and he had been finding stuff in the water for years.  He had me put a reg in my mouth and put my head under water..but i didnt like that very much and figured that it was not for me.....time passed until i was 30 or so..My wife gets a hot lead from a patient regarding scuba diving and a local dive shop.......without my approval she signed us up..i really had no desire..i went to class..half heartedly...and then....during the first pool session..i put a reg in my mouth and drop under the water.......HOOKED...finished check out dives in Bahamas..get home..start buying gear..immediately went to local quarry....etc...dove dove dove...certification after certification......loved it so much..thought must be a great idea to get captains license and get a big boat.....did so.........love that, but didnt dive because too busy taking other divers...

moving back to Northern MN now  sold the boat..will be doing some of that still, but i will be focusing on me again..and you will see me diving quite a bit..at least thats the plan..
