Re: cdnn blasts PADI unsafe at any depth
Hi ALL,Â
After recieving a phone call from a diver who is a PADI cert. diver, I was basically accused of slamming PADI. That certainly wasn't my intention. Nor is it allowed in the SDI professionalism statement. He indicated that my SDI training is no better or worse then any other dive training. Of course I have my own opinion about training programs and that is why I have decided to go forward with the SDI Instructor program at GUDC, but to make it perfectly clear, I am in the SDI DIVEMASTER PROGRAM, AND... I AM ALSO IN THE PADI DIVEMASTER PROGRAM. THE ARTICLE doesn't make me happy either. SO please don't be crabby at me because some senior editorial staff writer for the worlds largest online diver free subscription service decided to blast PADI. All I did was post it before one of you other divers would have. (most likely) Anyway  NO offense intended. However, you have heard me say it many times on this board about TRAINING.......   CONTINUE TRAINING at whatever agency you want. It would be interesting to know what percentages of cert divers in each of the respective agencies continue on with further training.  Maybe one of the great moderators can get a survey going from the local divers.  Something along the lines of  2 years after certification, how many specialty course have been taken etc. LOVE YA ALL MAXFACTOR   |
