Just got me to thinking, one day on a shallow dive a few weeks ago I decided to shed the heavy undies and go with just shorts and a t-shirt. I forgot to ditch some weight off the belt and to my surprise after entering the water I found that my wing could barely keep my head above the water when it was fully inflated. Tongue

Now that's overweighted...LOL.

Same thing happened to me on the night dive this last Wednesday at Square. Ended about 6-7 lbs too heavy. Went and dumped 6 lbs off and felt SOOOOO much better. I went light on the unders and forgot to switch weights...ARGGGHHHH

I wasn't referring to body weight/shape - but you knew that. All I was doing was making the point that one might want to be careful not to get too light on weights just for teh sake of
getting as light as possible.

BTW, I have a new small cannister and NiMH battery for your lighthead if you still want it. PM me for details. Nomads and I just used the lights on dives to 150ft and they worked fine.

It sure sounds like these divers have got to get their buoyancy under control. I am 190 lbs and dive dry quite a bit. When I dive with a single aluminum 80, I use my DiveRite Wings with aluminum backplate. Total weight excluding aluminum backplate is 14lbs. It's all in the breathing and comfort in the surroundings.

That's a big factor. The undergarment plays a huge factor as well. For instance a 400G thinsulate garment is much more buoyant than a 300G fleece garment.
