Big Carnella lake (sp?) dive report

Sunday i did a 1 hr dive in Big Carnella which is located 1 mile from sqaure off of hwy 11. great lake to dive but long surface swim. I would recommend a boat. the bottom is sand and gravel and the vis is about 12+ feet when the sun is out. We found a ton of stuff and had the opportunity to play with a 4-5 lbs. walley, really cool. I plan on diving the lake again early next week out of my boat, i'll post more about the lake then. thanks and have a great week of diving.

Jason, very cool. I'm assuming you meant Big Carnelian Lake? Here is a link to the lake map from the DNR.

I just dove this a couple weeks ago. Went in at the boat ramp and did a surface swim to the small island. There was some sand near the island and plenty of weeds to about 20 feet. After 20 feet the bottom turned to muck. Maybe I was in the wrong spot. Where did you dive it Jason? I would like to try it again if I can find the sand and gravel bottom.
