apeks regulator
I've been thinking about upgrading to an apeks atx50+40 combo. Can you buy this locally, or at least get it serviced?

Re: apeks regulator
Yes you can get it locally. It's a great combo. I have the Apeks TX-50 and I like it a lot. The ATX-50 is the same reg with a smaller second stage. I bought mine locally at They are located in Maple Grove. I'm sure there are other shops that carry Apeks as well because they are distributed in the US by SeaQuest.
I checked with Scuba Center and Going Under. Pricing was around $600-700 for this combo. It can be purchased on the net for $350. I want to support the LDS but it is hard to justify that price difference.

Hopefully a local dive shop will log on here and help explain the benefits in more detail of buying locally. |
