try carpet samples and then throw them away, when they get bad. its just about impossible to get your car or truck clean again after the pits

You know, maybe you should just rent an SUV for the weekend. Getting around some of those trails would be a real pain with a trailer. And then you don't risk the clay stains in Kev's truck.

The problem with renting a suv is you may get stuck with a clean up charge.

FYI- They make a product called Carpet Shield. It is a thin clear roll with adhesive backing. It is typically used for a temporary application such as; moving into a house, having a get together with people on carpet, or any time you want to protect carpet from getting dirty (staining). I know Menards sells them right by the carpet rolls.
Is the camp site just as bad for the staining, or is that mainly closer to the dive site? I have charcoal and hamburger patties I will bring with me for the BBQ. |

It is mainly a problem near the dive sites. The campground is fairly clean, with grass covering most of it with the exception of the road.

The red colored stains in the carpet are tough (to ever remove), but I've never had a problem with cleaning up the whitewalls or the rest of the outside of my truck after a run to the mines, as long as your using a pressurewasher. I've pulled my boat, with a tandem axle trailer all over into the middle of the mines, just take it slow, especially while driving thru the "little mines" that are in the middle of the roads. The ticket is probably pieces of carpet cut to fit the floorboards, then throw them away.

Well nutz - after reading all that, were gonna take my puddle jumper rather than the truck, which means no tralier.
UGH, now I gotta find a tent Joel, we will plan on bringing some grub to share as well |

I can head up friday afternoon and get dibs on a good camp site(s). Is there a LDS near by to fill tanks?
