The van is a '96 Ford Econoline Van. The 8 lugnuts tells me that it is at least a 3/4 ton van, but the engine displacement is unknown. The front is kinda banged up from the bumpy ride down the hill so I don't know if the hood can be opened easily.

I finally uploaded some videos of the dump truck and van from yesterdays dives. The dump truck video is only a couple minutes long but the van video is almost 10 minutes and it is a lot better. You might need to turn the sound down as I was clunking around quite a bit while moving items from side to side while looking for the maps.

No, just checking to see what fuel system it has in it.Â Evap systems will be a sealed system that is regulated by the PCM weather to vent or not.

This is if it is a gas and not a diesel.

Your probably right Robert, all of the fluids are probably still in it. In fact the keys are still in it. I should have fired it up and drove it out... except when I truned it over... I think I flooded it. ;D That's just an old joke we use every time we find something with keys still in the ignition.

Here are some photos of the path that the dump truck took on its way to the water. The first one is where they backed it up as far as it would go (even backing it over a 8" pine tree). it is probably here that they put a stick on the gas pedal, put it in gear, stepped off the clutch, and bailed out the door into the poison ivy. The second one is looking toward the pit where it started accelerating from (right behind my Jeep). The third one is where it went over the hill and probably picked up a lot of speed. The fourth one is the plowed path it took down the hill.
