There really isn't another lake with a harder bottom- kind of the terrain in MN. Just stay off the bottom.
The only thing I take seriously when it comes to diving is safety.

Haven't been to Little Long in at least 5 years. It's a dark spooky lake with a black as oil fine silty bottom. You need to frog kick or else stay well off the bottom or you will create a nasty ink cloud. In the few times I've done dives there the vis ranged from 6 to 10 feet.

Ok I call a ten minute bottom time window then the dozing may commence- I'll even join in!

I remember that happening on Christmas Lake. I was at the lower end of the slide!! Talk about getting blacked out suddenly. Get your buoyancy correct and the dive can be pretty good. I enjoy diving along the weed line looking for fish. We can always head out to the platform! |

Mermaid - is that the "all seeing eye" fish? I also think we should wait until after the dive to get plowed/bulldozed >

It's all in how you do it...seeeee...you bulldoze one area, and then dive in another.  JK Seriously though...I've never purposely bulldozed. The slide that blacked out Robert, is the only "bulldozing" I have done, and that was an accident. :
