The dome I climb on is up the hill from Silver Bay I think. It's part of the hiking trail. We called it "Carlton Peak" but I'm not sure if that was a real name or just our local term.

It's course and hard to climb on, it eats fingerprints and leave holes in your fingers like worn out shoes. Yes, it hurts. If you skid off you leave skin smears and you bleed.

I didn't verify the rock, the book said it was, it could be wrong. Unlikely but possible.

I guess I would question a sport that would leave me bloody and eat my fingerprints, but then this is a forum where the vast majority of people love a sport that, if you don't plan ahead and take precautions, can have tragic consequences.
