pretty amusing what 150 kg of explosives can do to an ice covered lake

not quite the same, but here is one close actual open water dive Ill spring

Mermet Springs is really fun. I have been there a few times. The paddlefish are really neat! On one dive we saw a whole school of them!

I wonder what the vis was like after that explosion. Maybe we should have tried that on Mille Lacs last weekend.
Mermet Springs is pretty cool. I did my OW cert. there. It's not fancy but it's set up really well for divers. Lots of stuff to see. It seems they're always doing something to improve it. |
