Re: Need a new vehicle
I always thought those tents on top of trucks were cool. Here are a few photos of some I saved for ideas on future projects:

Here is a photo of my R.A.D.V. (Remote Access Dive Vehicle). The Aqualung Edition decal is not on the Jeep yet and its final design is still being worked on.

Re: Need a new vehicle
I always wanted a Land Rover Defender NAD 110 but they are still 40K and they are from 1993.

RADV? What no Rhino Bar!

Caravan works very well with 2 cargo doors and a hatch you can get to anything, if you can get AWD do it.  They have good space and economy. Insurance is low to boot. Everyone that's dove out of it had good thing to say. Down side is tow capacity and traction on the 2wd versions.

Re: Need a new vehicle

Its kind of "A work in progress". When I get the front and rear bumpers made it will make the Scorpion Assault Vehicle look kinda feeble Wink

Re: Need a new vehicle
I really like that Ford Transit Connect.  Actually when I was purchasing a new vehicle about 18 months ago, I wanted to get the Ford, but it was at the time only available in Europe (as diesel and manual transmission of course, which is what I’d prefer).  I ended up getting a Honda Element instead, which also makes for a decent dive vehicle.  - Kirk

Dodge Sprinter is similar, I tried to buy one but I couldn't justify 44k for new and used were not available a few years ago.

Freightliner sells a version as well.

Re: Need a new vehicle
I do miss my Dodge Grand Caravan when it comes to loading dive and camp gear...

My husband had 8 people in it once, I could usually only fit 3-4 at the max.
My name is Lisa and I'm a SCUBAholic. It's been toooo long since my last dive!

Re: Need a new vehicle
Similar?  almost twice as big. so more towing, more hauling.  maybe similar shape.  I know they were having a lot of trouble with the gas sprinter but I think the diesels were strong.  Someone showed up at the freedive apalooza a few years ago with one.  nice.

Cold and dark down there huh?
