Ice Dive 2-06-2010 green lake

Art, John, and I need to get some diving for training purposes for the county.

Art was interested on the wrecks on Minnetonka. With the short notice and lack of re-con, we will need a lot of Intel

The vis on spectacle Lake is spectacular this year at close to 30 feet. We also have a tentative location for a sunken boat to dive.

We have also considered diving on Knife lake for several years. Vis might not be the greatest.....


This is open to anyone the ice certified. We will have all the required gear to open the hole and safely conduct a dive. As usual, you will be diving at your own risk, this is not a County or dive shop sponsored event. We like to start early and get at least two dives in.

A few of us will already be out there on Minnetonka this weekend for ice class.  If you see our flag, be sure to stop by and say hi.

We will be diving on Green lake. Meet at the landing @ 7am. There will be a huge blue tarp heated shelter. Diving until early afternoon.

There doing there dives for the ice diver card on the Hopkins on sat. They meet at GUDC at 9am.

No sense in starting Valentines Day a week early. Go swimming instead. The "pool" at Green Lake opens at 7:00 AM My jeep is loaded. Shooter, I will bring the extra screws in the orange pack and the carabiners that were on the com ropes (two alum and two steel)
