Vis--St. James
Yesterday at St. James Pit (Aurora,MN) I dove the boat launch site.
Water Temp = 39 degrees, top to bottom. No visible or felt layering of the water column. Visibility: 50-60+, gray overcast skies kept light penetration down. Visibility would easily been better with better overhead light availability/penetration. Great wall! Great dive! |

Oh-man, I didn't get up there all summer. What a drag.
Ask your doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

Re: Vis--St. James
I know that is exactly why I made it a priority that day.
I was in Duluth for business and afterwards... I was in Aurora before I knew it. St. James was on my annual list all year. Brought my GPS unit up there and discovered it truly is 3:30 hrs one way. When I compare that to going wreck diving 5-6 hours away in Lake Michigan with my dad, for me its a tough call. |
