From Shooter's original post:

Myself and a couple others from the twin cities are heading up to Duluth next Tuesday to dive the Wilson on Jay's boat.  I'm looking forward to it.  I haven't had the chance to dive any other wrecks other than the Madeira, Hesper and Ely.  Should be fun.

Re: superior diving 7-14 thru 16

I have a new photo editing program that I need to figure out soon ??? Vis started out at 15' plus but after newbies hit the bottom it got closer to 10' Sad.There is alot of silt both on the bottom and inside the wreck. I did not have camara on the Wilson but will post hesper pics soon. The Hesper was actually colder than the wilson and in shallower water!

I would of loved to have had 10' of vis on the Wilson when we dove it last fall.  We have closer to 2'

Re: superior diving 7-14 thru 16
I'm doing the Wilson and Mayflower with Jay on thursday august 3rd. There is still room for one or two divers I think. Has anyone dove the Bell Island wrecks? I hear they are the cold water equivalent to Truk(sp) plus whales, icebergs, and rumors of pirate loot! Except for the salt it should be like Isle Royale.I went again this year on Kens boat and had a great time as usual. No porn though, like the Kamloops group! Linda

Re: superior diving 7-14 thru 16

I absolutely *loved* the Bell Island Wrecks!!! (...but I'm guessing your question really wasn't for me, since I'm the bad influence who instigated the whole Bell Island thing...;D)  I think Vlada has updated her website with pictures from this year's Bell Island Trip!!!  ()

My only regret was that I didn't know that Rick (Owner of Ocean Quest) had an air compressor at Fox Trap marina and that we could have topped off our tanks after diving the Bell Island wrecks and headed off to explore any number of shore dive sites (including a humpback whale 'graveyard' ...there are about 6-8 skeletons in a relatively close area, or so I'm told... in addition to several whaling and fishing vessels that have succumbed to the seas!)  Something for my next trip! Wink
