Ah, cave diving; there's an endless conversation piece. My two cents, after reading most the posts here, is that cavern/cave training is a fantastic extension to all forms of diving. I began my diving career in 1972, in Minnesota, doing lake/ice dives in a wet suit, many.... Then to California, in the thick, overhead kelp beds. The wrecks in the Caymans, and now full cave certified, and doing the caves of central and No. Florida. I live in Nashville, TN, and frequent dives with TAG, usually in dry caves that terminate with virgin sumps, and that's where the fun begins. Gas management, equipment configuration, light signals, bouyancy, and use of reels is a great place to start when considering any dive that you feel uneasy approaching. This is a great website, by the way! I'm learning tons, as we speak.
My best to all you divers!
