Forum software upgrade

I upgraded the forum software to version 1.8 today. The updated software includes a number of feature and security updates. I've held off making this update for the past year because modifying the forum templates to comply with the updated software is a painful process. Hopefully everything is working properly. Let me know if you encounter any issues.
