Poseidon Discovery MK VI
Here are some pictures of the Poseidon Discovery MK VI CCR. It weighs 52 lbs on my postal scale when fully loaded (ready to dive). I did a pool dive with it last night, and found it needed quite a bit of tweaking from out of the box to diving. So I spent the day, adding counterlung straps and changing the plumbing.... I have chosen a Dive Rite TransPac harness and a Rec Wing, rather than the harness from Poseidon. I have also swapped sides on the Dil / Oxy to route the hoses more comfortably. My experience in the pool was great as the unit is totally easy to dive; power unit and it does a self diagnosis and positive loop test, it automatically adjusts the PPO2 setpoint from surface low of .40 and gradually increases as you descend, it has one of the easiest switching DSV from OC - CC, and breaths very easy!
Looking forward to the CCR Demo at Klein Scuba tomorrow, then taking the unit along on Mike and Al's CCR training in the Keys. Ron
Start with training, continue with adventures.
