Strange 40 - 50ft Vis metro lakes Fall 09
our metro lakes are listed as 8 -12 vis on the DNR Lake website. but this fall for some strange reason some spots are probably 40ft vis now! we have had several weeks without any wind and i think that the strange warm weather combined with low light levels have the plankton over eating the free floating green algae. any rate some spots i can see the bottom in 20-30ft and ive never been able to do that. either late fall, and actualy early spring usualy the water is cloudy from turn over.im waiting for some snow then im going to try to get a youtube vid posted
