So did anyone opt to do the pool tryout of a rebreather?

I did come in Friday to Going Under and tried both the Dolphin and the Insperation. I was humbled by both. Everything you ever knew about byonancy is out the door. Also I was amazed at how quiet the units were. On the Insperation all you hear is the valves. I used the bail out on the Dolphin a few times to hear how loud OC really is.

All is all I havn't decided to spend the money on a rebreather but I know that it is now on the list. I can honestly say that from what I learned in the two nights at Going Under that I feel anyone with the proper training and respect for a rebreather can safely dive it. It's more a question of if your the right person for a rebreather.

I also went up for the pool demo. I am an SCR diver and wanted to try a CCR. Enjoyed the experience, and am now trying to figure out how to pay for a CCR!

The Thursday night session was also a great introduction.

It's amazing how often people don't like, or are scared by, what they don't understand.
