Ft. Meyers Beach

I'll be in Ft. Meyers in a couple weeks for a family vacation. Not exactly my choice - thats where the golfers want to go. Anyone know of good dive ops and/or shore diving in that area? I'm not getting much response to my emails to several local ops. Thinking my time might be better spent driving across to the Atlantic side and diving the Speigel, etc.
